A Warm Welcome
A big HELLO to anyone that happened to come accross my new Blog, as its title implies this is dedicated to all them cunning,disease ridden,damage causing scaly tails (Rats) that that cause so much damage and misery to Farmers.Landowners,and the General Public Alike.
Myself and my Mate have been very keen airgunners for many years mostly shooting Rabbit,Crow,Magpie and Ferral Pigeons, but after being asked to have a look at a rat problem on a local farm our shooting habits changed when I asked the Farmer has he seen many around, in the Farmers words "I think there are a few around".
Armed with our rifles an Air Arms TDR in 0.22 cal topped with a Yukon Sentinel Pulsar Night Vision Scope, and my mate armed with a Brocock Hunter also in 0.22, hand held Night Vision Units and enough thermal clothing to keep a penguin warm we set about a "reccy" of the barns and outbuildings after a couple of hours the count was 42 rats shot needless to say we were invited back for further shooting, the tally to date is just over 400 shot and with the weather getting colder the count will get higher.
Since shooting our first farm for rats we now have been lucky enough to have been invited to shoot other farms,Smallholdings,and even Remotely sited Stable Buildings not only locally to where we live but now further afield as well..
We find that unless you have been recommended by a reputable farmer or Landowner as being both safe and reliable it is very difficult to find anywhere to shoot legally.
Below is a current list of General Locations we have permission to control Vermin,for obvious reasons we cannot be more specific due to Confidentiality with our Clients.
